Sustain Design Studios is responding to the need for flexible and open spaces for commercial and institutional use with a new range of models.

The Commercial and Institutional units are also based on the same SIPS components, modular construction (windows and framing details are all precut and standardized) and refined, production-friendly detailing as our housing units. Advanced building envelope detailing reduces heatloss and eliminates mold and decay that results from ill-conceived vapour detailing common in conventional portable classrooms and buildings. All floor, wall and roof assemblies are detailed to be airtight, vapour impermeable, thermally efficient, draft-free and comfortable. Finally they’re finished with interior and exterior cladding, doors windows and screens, floor finishes, electrical systems (light and power) and a dedicated HRV for fresh ventilation without the heatloss.

Not only is this a great alternative for classroom portables – this in demand ‘empty’ module can be used as showrooms, offices, studios, workshops or for whatever there is a need!
